Do you like the feeling of freedom when playing a piece of music? Do you particularly enjoy upbeat Söca, or the relaxing vibes of One Drop? Then, Groovae is the piece for you! This piece captures both of those particular styles in one, making for a unique experience like no other!

Program Notes

Groovae is a satirical Reggae piece that features two different variations of Reggae: the upbeat Soca and the mellow One Drop, both of which set the overall theme of the piece. This piece can be performed as a duo, a trio, or as a quartet. Feel free to add your own kind of touch to this piece, as there is a lot of artistic freedom that can be put into it! The bass marimba part can be used interchangeably with a bass guitar, and the percussion part can be played with either one or multiple instruments.
