Lapse of Time

Lapse of Time seemed like the perfect title because the piece is constantly switching the beat and the feel, making it difficult for the performer to keep track of time, and impossible for the listener to know where the beat lies. This was accomplished through constant meter changes and offset, accented syncopated rhythms that trade between the left and right hands.
