Nutcracker Suite (Tchaikovsky)
Arranger/Composer: Ritsuko Nasu
Item Code: 19500
Publisher: C. Alan Publications
Selections for Marimba Trio
Tchaikovsky’s enormously popular ballet The Nutcracker has captured the hearts and imagination of people across the world since its premiere performance in 1892. The music has become so intertwined with popular culture that we often forget where it originated. Because of some of the themes and characters, the music is typically associated with Christmas, with performances of the ballet and the orchestral suite receiving thousands of performances every December. In this collection, selections from the Suite are arranged for marimba trio in a delightfully virtuosic fashion.
