Noble in character and bold in its rhythmic and harmonic development, Victory Fanfare is a tribute to the men and women who serve our nation in the armed forces. After a declamatory introduction in the full ensemble and a percussion break, the main melody is stated in the trumpets and clarinets. This heroic theme is then developed throughout the piece, culminating with a triumphant closing statement. The grade 1 scoring includes some modal harmonies and is punctuated with seven percussion parts. Victory Fanfare presents a rousing concert piece for the young band.
